Led by Lindsay Holder and taught by a growing team of experienced practitioners across the UK and into Europe — with every student assessed by an instructor who hasn't taught them, so everyone is judged fairly.
Lindsay leads SBITA with more than 18 years' experience, trained in both the UK and Australia — the home of Bowen therapy. She is one of very few practitioners fluent across all three streams, working with people, horses and dogs alike.
Based in Great Malvern and teaching across the UK and internationally, Lindsay founded the academy to pass on that experience with the same patience and care she brings to the table itself — and to grow a team who share the belief that every body matters.
Our team is expanding as experienced practitioners complete their teacher training. Each teaches to the same accredited standard and shares the calm, hands-on approach at the heart of SBITA.
We're building a small team of instructors across the UK and Europe. Only a select few will be invited to teach: experienced practitioners we trust to uphold the standard and care that SBITA is known for. Their profiles will appear here as they join.
We believe no tutor should mark their own students. That's why your final assessment is carried out by another SBITA instructor who hasn't taught you, so your qualification is earned fairly and holds real weight.
It's a standard we hold ourselves to, and one more reason our accreditation means something.
Never marked by the person who taught you. Assessment is kept separate from teaching.
Qualified SBITA instructors who know the standard your work is measured against.
Accredited by the BTPA and BAUK, earned to a fair, consistent standard.
